I want to thank your for being YOU, and thank you for putting into words the things I could feel but never express. I had to learn similar things when I retired 8 years ago. I had to take both the good and the bad from my work history of 40 years and apply myself to a new life of retirement. We are who we are and we need to love ourselves just as much as our family and friend love love us. We need to enjoy the moment and what we have. Then we need to look at the future as an opportunity to be happy with new things and break free from what others may want or say, and discover for ourselves how to be different from any mold and make something that we are happy with. That is why I took up the brush and pen at the beginning of this year with your help. I feel proud of the painting I have made and what I have learned. Only 4 close family members have seen what I have painting and that is OK because I am painting for me. The journey continues….

Hello Carrie, and thank you for sharing your story. I’m so sorry to hear that you have had to deal with such difficult news. Life can bring us some very tough challenges.
I hope you can find a way to work through it all. It looks to me like you will, as you seem like a strong woman, and I know from my own experience that although it is a long process, life improves as soon as we start to count our blessings, so to speak – not discounting the sense of loss and pain; but looking at what we have and going from there. That’s how i found your videos, for which i am extremely grateful. I love your teaching style. Painting is my meditation and distracts me from constant pain.
I wish you peace and happiness.
Hugs and love

Thanks for commenting Ursala! And I agree! Counting your blessing – focusing on the positive and keeping your head up does help adjust our attitudes! Thanks for sharing again 😀
