This policy covers the public Watercolor Misfit blog at watercolormisfit.com, operated by Watercolor Misfit LLC. It does not cover accounts, purchases, courses, or subscriptions on separate websites reached through links from this blog.
Information you provide
If you email us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond. Do not send payment-card details or other sensitive information in ordinary email.
Where comments are enabled, WordPress collects the comment, the name and email address you enter, any optional website address, and technical information such as your IP address and browser details for moderation and spam prevention. Your comment and display name may be public; your email address is not displayed with the comment. An external avatar service may receive a code derived from your email address to display a profile image. Its privacy policy explains that processing.
Technical information and hosting
Rocket.net provides hosting and website delivery. Hosting, security, caching, and spam-prevention systems may process IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Technical information may also be recorded in operational logs and backups.
Outside resources, cookies, and affiliate links
The blog loads fonts, video thumbnails, and embedded YouTube players from outside providers. Loading those resources may send your IP address, browser details, and the page being requested to the provider. Some players can load before you press play. Providers may use cookies or similar technology under their own policies. See the font and video provider’s privacy policy.
WordPress and hosting or security services may use cookies for site operation. If a comment form offers to remember your details and you select that option, your browser can store those details for later comments. You can control or delete cookies in your browser; blocking them or outside resources may affect some features.
Some links are affiliate links, including Amazon links. When you follow a link, the retailer or affiliate service may process information about that visit and any purchase under its own policy. How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate and protect the blog, moderate comments, respond to messages, and handle legal or copyright concerns. Service providers may process information needed for those functions. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, or threats to rights or safety.
A link to a separate newsletter or course site takes you to that site’s service and privacy terms. This blog’s policy does not describe that separate site’s subscriber or purchase records.
Retention, security, and your choices
Published comments can remain with the article until removed. Contact messages, moderation records, technical logs, and backups may be retained for their operational, security, or legal purposes; retention varies by the type of record and service. Removal from the active site may not immediately remove a copy from a backup. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. Contact support@watercolormisfit.com with a request or privacy question. We may need to verify a request and retain information when permitted or required by law.
Children and international visitors
This is a general-audience art blog, not a service directed to children under 13. Please do not submit personal information about a child. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact support@watercolormisfit.com so we can address it.
Information may be processed where we and our service providers operate, including outside your country. Outside websites and services have their own privacy practices.
