About Me

The Artist Behind Watercolor Misfit

Hi, I’m Carrie—an artist, mom, and former educator living in South Carolina with my husband, son, and our two dogs. Creativity has always been a big part of who I am, from teaching and tutoring children with learning differences to now exploring watercolor, digital illustration, and animation in the little pockets of time motherhood allows. I love creating art that feels warm, imaginative, and full of heart. Through my blog, I share my creative journey, what I’m learning, and the joy of growing as an artist and the balance of building an artistic life alongside motherhood.
